Celebrating 25 Years of Talking Tables: A Memorable Anniversary Meal in London

Last month, mum and I had the incredible privilege of being invited to Talking Tables' 25th anniversary meal in the heart of London. It was an evening filled with warmth, celebration, and reflection, honouring the remarkable journey of a company that has brought joy to so many homes and gatherings around the world.

Founded in 1999 by Clare Harris, Talking Tables began as a humble venture with Clare packing party poppers at her kitchen table and delivering them to Harrods in her VW Golf. What started as a small, creative business has since evolved into a global success, providing fun, stylish, and imaginative products for all types of celebrations.

The anniversary dinner was an intimate affair, where we gathered to reflect on the past 25 years and celebrate the future of Talking Tables. Clare and her partner, Mark McCormack, shared heartwarming stories about the brand’s early days, the challenges they faced, and the joys of growing a business that still maintains its original spirit of fun and creativity.

As my mum and I sat among fellow guests, surrounded by beautifully designed tablescapes (of course!), it struck us how much Talking Tables has influenced modern entertaining. Their commitment to making every occasion special—whether it’s a birthday, Christmas, or just a get-together with friends—resonates with anyone who loves to bring people together.
