The History behind Cornucopia Home and Gift

Cornucopia Home and Gift, a family-owned store in Worcester, England, was established in 1985 by Kirsten and Mike Linton. After 28 years in Cathedral Plaza, the store relocated to Chapel Walk, where it continues to offer a curated selection of high-quality gifts and homewares, emphasizing products from independent British designers.

The store's move from Cathedral Plaza to Chapel Walk highlights its commitment to adapting to the evolving retail landscape while maintaining its dedication to quality and local craftsmanship.

10 years ago, Mum and I, took over Cornucopia in Worcester. We made the decision to relocate from Cathedral Plaza to Chapel Walk, and since then, the shop has gone from strength to strength. We've been able to build on the store's legacy, continuing to offer a carefully curated selection of high-quality gifts and homewares. Our focus remains on products from independent British designers, and the move to Chapel Walk has really allowed us to grow and enhance our offerings. It’s been amazing to see the store thrive in this new space!

"Unpacking the Meaning of Cornucopia: A Symbol of Abundance and Generosity"

The name Cornucopia was carefully chosen by the previous owners, who were of Scandinavian descent, to reflect the shop's commitment to abundance, hospitality, and warmth. Drawing inspiration from the Greek symbol of a horn overflowing with fruit, flowers, and produce, it represents the store's wide variety of thoughtfully curated home goods and gifts, designed to bring an overflowing sense of joy and richness to every home. Rooted in the Scandinavian love for nature, seasonal living, and craftsmanship, the name evokes the changing seasons and the beauty of the natural world, which the store celebrates through its selection of items. Cornucopia also embodies the spirit of giving, offering customers a place to find the perfect gift to share with loved ones, just as the cornucopia symbolizes endless bounty. With its universal appeal, the name captures the essence of generosity, comfort, and warmth, creating an inviting atmosphere for all who visit.
